Miracles In Motion: Dr. Jolley

Dr. Christopher Jolley, a UF Health pediatrician, demonstrates an unwavering commitment to patients every day. He was recently recognized by the University of Florida Health Physicians (UFHP) Quality and Patient Safety Group with a “Biggest Catch” award for his exceptional leadership during an unexpected medical emergency:

“A mother presented with her daughter (the patient) to UF Health Pediatric Specialties located at the Shands Medical Plaza (SMP). Prior to arriving at the clinic, the patient’s mother fell in the parking garage and sustained bleeding/injury to her knees. During the patient’s appointment, Dr. Jolley became increasingly concerned as he observed that the patient’s mother had slurred speech and other signs of a potential medical emergency. Dr. Jolley took immediate action. Under his leadership, emergency medical services were called and the patient’s mother was transported to the emergency department for further evaluation and treatment. Determined to be critically ill, the patient’s mother was ultimately admitted to the medical intensive care unit.
