Weekend in Review: Dance Marathon at UF raises $2.3 million for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital
We are so proud to announce Dance Marathon at UF raised an outstanding $2,334,217.21 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital during its 26.2 hour-event on March 26-27. Keeping their feet moving during themed hours, 1,400 students rallied together to “Choose Change.” The festivities included several DJs, the Gator Band, dueling pianos, a hypnotist and a yoga session by yoga pond.
This accomplishment is a culmination of year-long fundraising efforts by Dance Marathon at UF students, alumni and Mini Marathon high school programs. High school programs affiliated with Dance Marathon at UF contributed $551,525.33.
This academic year’s fundraising concludes with OwlThon FAU. Its main event will take place on April 9.
Thank you to our dance participants, students, advisors and donors at our K-12 schools — along with our college students and advisers — who are dedicating their time and resources for the benefit of our pediatric patients at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital!
