ONE LAST WEEK IN REVIEW: K-12 DANCE MARATHONS RAISE FUNDS FOR UF HEALTH

Three of our collegiate Dance Marathon programs (Dance Marathon at Florida State University, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida and OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University) have completed their High School Dance Marathon, Community Marathon and Mini Marathon seasons in both virtual and hybrid formats– raising more than $50,000 last night:

  • Newberry High School: $3,010.68
  • Suncoast Community High School: $22,173.23
  • Wellington Community High School: $27,100.69

FSU, UF and FAU-affiliated middle and high school programs fundraise for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, until the culmination of their respective university’s Dance Marathon events and the UF Health fiscal year:

  • Dance Marathon at Florida State University: $1,470,210.69
  • OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University: $105,475.83
  • Dance Marathon at the University of Florida: April 10-11 in Gainesville, FL

Following Dance Marathon at UF next weekend, we will announce the final yearlong fundraising efforts for all schools who participated in 2021.

A tremendous thank you to dancer participants, students, advisors and donors of these incredible K-12 schools (along with their supporting university’s students and advisors) who have been dedicating their time and resources for the benefit of local kids, especially in times of extraordinary uncertainty. Your adaptability and innovation are both invaluable to your program’s success!
