Miracles In Motion: Kendall

“The worst part about being in the hospital is having to get IVs. The best part is when my friends come to play with me. They let me paint their fingernails.” – Kendall, CMN Hospitals Ambassador

Kendall was transported to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital the day she was born with VACTERL Association, an acronym for multiple birth defects affecting many of her organs. She had her first open heart surgery at just 26 days old, and spent her first seven weeks of life in the hospital. Thanks to donations and support from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Kendall is a thriving and happy young girl!

Miracles In Motion tells the inspiring stories of our patients, families, clinicians and staff in their every day lives. These moments that occur inside the walls of UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital are what make this incredible hospital such a special place to over 150,000 patient families each year that are treated there. Follow along with the Miracles In Motion tag below to learn more about these stories and how Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals makes even the most ordinary moments extraordinary.
