Miracles In Motion: Carlos

“I was a Pediatric and Adult Respiratory Therapist in Puerto Rico for seven years, but had not yet completed certification here in the states. I was working in a different field when my youngest daughter was treated in the PICU. At 5 years old, she contracted a bacterial infection in her kidneys after she got a common cold. She was in the hospital for two weeks.

After seeing my daughter go through treatment, I knew I had to come back and work in Pediatrics. I’ve now been here 11 years.” – Carlos, Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital
