Thank You, La Ley Radiothon!

Since 2012, Glades Media has raised $526,969 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. 99.5 La Ley at Glades Media Hispanic Radiothon is a two-day fundraising event for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the audience, staff, and my company, Glades Media, for allowing me to have two days for the radiothon,” said Paul Danitz, General Sales Manager at Glades Media.

Each year, the team from Glades Media visits UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital for a tour to see the impact their radiothon has. “We leave your facilities every year pumped and motivated to give everything we can in the effort to help,” said Danitz.

Funds from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals benefit the areas of greatest need at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. These areas include supporting impactful programs such as Child Life and Arts in Medicine, transformational research, and lifesaving medical equipment.

In 2016, 99.5 La Ley was recognized as the winner of “Hispanic Radiothon of the Year” by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. They were chosen out of all the radio stations who partner with 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
