Celebrating Panda Cares Day and $200M Raised for Children’s Hospitals!
Today, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is proud to join in celebrating Panda Cares Day, the anniversary of the Panda Cares Foundation – Panda Express’ incredible philanthropic arm!
Every August 8, Panda Express celebrates this special day to honor their commitment
to supporting children’s health and well-being through their partnership with Children’s
Miracle Network Hospitals. And this year, we’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone:
Panda Express has raised over $200 million for CMN Hospitals nationwide!
These funds support Panda Cares Centers of Hope and other vital programs across the country that help meet the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of pediatric patients. Kids everywhere, including right here at UF Health Shands continue to benefit from this generosity in meaningful and lasting ways.
In fact, since their partnership began 2007, Panda Express associates and customers have contributed more than $500,000 to help move medicine forward at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. These funds are used to meet the hospital’s greatest needs each year and help purchase life-saving equipment, fund groundbreaking research, and pay for diversionary and support programs for patients and families that would otherwise not be possible. Most recently, funds raised through CMN Hospitals’ partners like Panda Express supported the renovation of Unit 44 that opened for patients earlier this summer.
