August 6: Root Beer Float Day @ Residence Inn Gainesville I-75

Come and root for our pediatric patients by floating your donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital!

On Saturday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Residence Inn Gainesville I-75 will host a Root Beer Float Day. The event will offer food, fun, prizes and activities for kids and parents alike! All proceeds go toward your local CMN Hospital, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

“Residence Inn by Marriott has partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network for 39 years,” said Kellie Nice, the Director of Sales at Residence Inn’s location at 3275 S.W. 40th Boulevard. “We are excited to celebrate our partnership with the organization and give back to the local community.”

Marriott International traces its beginnings to J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott launching their 9-seat A&W Root Beer stand in Washington, D.C. To honor this history and legacy of their partnership with CMN Hospitals, Marriott properties will once again host Root Beer float socials throughout August at locations across the country – including right here in Gainesville.
