A WEEKEND IN REVIEW: HIGH SCHOOL DANCE MARATHONS, COMMUNITY MARATHONS AND MINI-MARATHONS

Three of our collegiate Dance Marathon programs (Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, Dance Marathon at Florida State University and OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University) have continued their High School Dance Marathon, Community Marathon and Mini-Marathon seasons– raising nearly $300,000 this past weekend:

  • Buchholz High School: $10,556.73 (37% increase)
  • Eastside High School: $10,206.78 (13% increase)
  • Forest High School: $24,744.68 (41% increase)
  • Jupiter Community High School: $21,239.44
  • Lincoln High School: $38,264.31 (23% increase)
  • Palm Beach Central High School: $111,069.08 (22% increase)
  • Rickards High School: $17,136.12 (39% increase)
  • St. John Paul II High School: $26,037.25
  • Dwyer High School: $4,635.82 (30% increase)

FSU, UF and FAU-affiliated middle and high school programs will continue to fundraise for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, until the culmination of their respective university’s Dance Marathon event:

  • Dance Marathon at Florida State University: March 6-8 in Tallahassee, FL
  • Dance Marathon at the University of Florida: March 28-29 in Gainesville, FL
  • OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University: April 4 in Boca Raton, FL

We will update weekend totals as they continue to occur in the remaining weeks of February and March. A tremendous thank you to dancer participants, students, advisors and donors of these incredible K-12 schools (along with their supporting university’s students and advisors) who have been dedicating their time and resources for the benefit of local kids.
