A Weekend in Review: High School Dance Marathons and Mini-Marathons
One of our collegiate Dance Marathon programs, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, continued with incredible fundraising efforts by their Mini-Marathons this past weekend–raising almost $100,000!
- Trinity Catholic High School: $30,741.96 (204% increase over 2018)
- Gainesville High School: $31,946.57
- Newberry High School: $2,584.72
- East Ridge High School: $3,052.28
- Deerfield Beach High School: $7,142.70 (188% increase over 2018)
- Vero Beach High School: $18,347.89 (58% increase over 2018)
Middle and high school programs will continue to fundraise for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, until the culmination of their respective university’s Dance Marathon event:
- Dance Marathon at Florida State University: March 1-3, 2019 in Tallahassee, FL; $2,210,165.21
- OwlThon at Florida Atlantic University: March 23 in Boca Raton, FL
- Dance Marathon at the University of Florida: March 30-31 in Gainesville, FL
We will update weekend totals as they continue to occur in the remaining weeks of March. A tremendous thank you to dancer participants, students, advisors, and donors of these incredible K-12 schools (along with their supporting university’s students and advisors) who have been dedicating their time and resources for the benefit of local kids.
